Recent advances in disordered quantum systems.
Location: CY Advanced Studies, Maison internationale de la recherche, Neuville-sur-Oise
International meeting coordinated by Constanza ROJAS-MOLINA from AGM research center
This 3-day workshop aims at presenting the state-of-the-art of research in disordered quantum systems,
focusing each day on a particular topic that has been active in recent years, in both the mathematics and
physics literature:
1) long-range systems, where a phase transition is conjectured depending on the nature of the long-range
interactions with the environment,
2) many-body localization, where the goal is to investigate the phenomenon of localization in the presence
of electron-electron interactions,
and 3) models associated to random walks, where we expect to understand better the connection between
unitary random models and the study of recurrence and transience of random walks.
The workshop will include plenary talks by experts on these different topics, and there will be ample time
for discussions, to encourage exchanges between the participants. With this workshop we also expect to
help consolidate the community working on these questions.
