The British Conservative Party at a crossroads

It seems particularly interesting to study the case of the British Conservative Party in the wake of its historic defeat in the July 2024 general election. At a time of rising populism in Europe, the aim is to shed light on the trends that have affected this British party during its years in power. The symposium will also look at the prospects for organizational and ideological recomposition that the period of opposition the party has just entered portends. Will the British Conservative Party's adaptability and ability to reform be enough to enable it to bounce back, or even reinvent itself?
