Workshop, coordinated by Ruggero Iori, CY EMA
These workshops are focused on professionals in the socio-educational, social and medico-social sectors, concentrating on those who work with "youth in difficulty" (generally: children, adolescents, young people, families). Since several years these sectors, while historically structured following their own political and organizational logics, are going through comparable evolutions and similarities: curriculum reform, demographic changes in the professions, emergence of new publics and new partnerships ('youth in difficulty'), reconfigurations in employing organizations and job insecurity. For these workshops, we decided to work on how professionals are made during training and at work, either from the point of view of the socio-genesis of dispositions or from the point of view of professional skills. How do these professionals orient themselves towards the profession? What meaning do they give to their profession? How do they integrate their professional culture? In particular, we will question the logics of professionalization at work in the various professional contexts, the reconfiguration of professional practices and the social processes in their careers, in order to see how all these elements participate in the making of these professionals.
