Social sciences and threat: describing, anticipating, regulating, forecasting, and addressing

Workshop in the framework of the "Risks, Society and Security" (R2S) thematic cycle

Terrorism, radicalization, emergencies and complex decision-making, criminality, risks in urban settings, new war technologies, etc. Our societies are under threat. Analyzing and preventing threats is more and more complex. Social science has become a crucial tool in this field. It enhances and adds to the outlook of "exact" sciences and provides new insight to improve understanding. This enables more efficient and relevant design of innovative solutions against the threats we are facing.

Date and time: September 28 from 9 AM to 5 PM
Location: Auditorium of the Maison internationale de la Recherche
Public: students, researchers, teacher-researchers, wider public interested in threat, defense, and security issues

The objective of this workshop is to use a transdisciplinary approach to share the views on contemporary threats of experts in social sciences.
