Guest Lecture: Giovanni Forni

Billiards in Polygons 

Giovanni Forni is Professor of Mathematics at the University of Maryland, College Park.

In this lecture we will introduce and motivate the study of the dynamics of billiards in polygons and related dynamical systems. We will survey several results and open questions on their dynamics from existence of periodic orbits to chaotic properties.
