Delivering parcels, growing lettuce on Mars and transporting time-bombs using one single tool
Alberto Santini is currently Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Fellow (EUTOPIA-SIF) at CY AS, invited by ESSEC
What is the best way to deliver parcels in dense cities, without filling the streets with noisy, polluting vans? How to grow food on Mars, minimising the amount of energy needed? How do I minimise risk, if I have to transport material which could catch fire at any time? Surprisingly, a single discipline can help answer all these questions. In this guest lecture I will explain how Operational Research can provide decision support tools to solve problems, such as the above ones, arising in the most diverse fields of applications.
Date: 15 March 2022 from 12:30 to 14:00
The hybrid guest lecture is organised in person at the Auditorium of MIR in Neuville-sur-Oise and remotely on Zoom.
