Doctoral course: Luana Wouk

Luana Wouk, Assistant Professor at the Physics Insitute at the University of Brasilia - Brésil teaches doctoral courses at the CY Advanced Studies Institute every Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM from 27 January 2026 to 12 May 2026 on the topic: "Device Physics of Electronic and Optoelectronic Materials: From Crystal Structure to Functional Devices".

This doctoral course focuses on the fundamental physics that governs the behavior of materials used in modern electronic and optoelectronic devices. Starting from atomic bonding and crystalline order, students progress toward understanding charge transport, band structure engineering, and device operation principles in semiconductors, metals, magnetic and dielectric materials.
