Workshop organized by the LDD laboratory on March 27 - 28, 2018

In questioning the theory of secularisation approaches in social philosophy are trying to integrate more than before the importance of ethical questions and within the role of the religious phenomenon in their comprehension of  occidental societies (Hans Joas) . Notions as resonance (Hartmut Rosa)  or trust in the real (Jean-Marc Ferry)  do not only reflecting about a better comprehension of our post secular era (Jürgen Habermas) but also of historical societies in developing an ethos of world-relations questioning the refusal of normativity by social sciences. Can the approach of world-relations improve its pertinence in philosophical, ethical, esthetical and historical domains? This workshop will try to answer this question in an interdisciplinary and international way. Philosophers and historians coming of Germany, Belgium and France will present and discuss their approaches and experiences between themselves and with the public.
