LACONA XII organizes a workshop open to students in science, architecture and conservation-restoration, to conservation-restoration professionals and congresses. It helds on Monday, September 10, 2018, at the Maison Internationale de la Recherche (MIR) of the University from Cergy-Pontoise (rue Descartes, 95031 Neuville sur Oise).

This event will consist of workshops dedicated to laser instrumentations implemented for laser cleaning, control and analysis of the restoration, as well as discussions on current issues as part of a “Café des Sciences”. The objective is to encourage the exchange between the specialists of the investigation methods, the professionals of the heritage field and the students of different horizons.

The participants will actively follow six successive workshops on the instruments present in the rooms dedicated to practice. The “Café des Sciences” will be a place and a time of discussion, complementary to the workshops, devoted to the contribution of the laser to the analysis of the materials of the cultural field, to their restoration, to their insertion in a more global approach of conservation (BIM). Specialists will be able to answer the questions, and enrich the debate starting from their knowledge and experience.

Coordinators: Nicolas Wilkie-Chancelier (SATIE - UCP) et Jean-Marc Vallet (CiCRP - Marseille)
