Study day for doctoral students and young doctors in language sciences - sociolinguistics and didactics -

The purpose of this study day is to bring together doctoral students and young PhDs in language sciences. It aims first to contribute to the training of PhD students by giving them the opportunity to speak at a scientific event organized for them and then to give them the opportunity to confront that of young doctors in the perspective of mutualisation of knowledge. The aim is to introduce the first to the methodology of the presentation of a communication during a study day and to allow the latter to take stock of the evolution of their research in a reflective perspective. This day, which is both a moment of training and research, is an institutional space that legitimizes the speech of both doctoral students and doctors and  contribute to give them the visibility they need.

It strives to respond to Article 10 of the charter of theses of Paris Seine University which states that "the thesis director and the director of the research unit undertake to encourage the doctoral student to publish his work, [...]; to advise the doctoral student on a strategy of valorization of his works, for the elaboration of the publications and a better scientific communication in the magazines and colloquiums; [...] in order to value the [...] work of the doctoral student".

The themes fall mainly but not exclusively from sociolinguistics and didactics of French in a multilingual environment. The methodologies are part of the qualitative approaches.
