Primary school in the 21st century

The international conference, Primary School in the 21st Century, was initiated by the EMA laboratory of CY Cergy Paris University, Inspé of the Versailles Academy. It will be the first generalist scientific conference (bringing together specialists from all the relevant research fields) devoted in France to the primary school.
Numerous scientific and institutional partners are associated with the project.
Aims : Primary school are subject to changes and expectations which, in this age of digital technology and international evaluations, raise questions about their finalities but also about teacher training and practices.
In this context, it seems necessary to draw up a report on the state of research, experimental projects, collaborative actions and the diversity of reflections on nursery and primary schools.

Modalities and target groups concerned : The conference will take the form of plenary lectures and round tables devoted to the history of primary school teachers, international training models, changes in nursery schools and critical questioning of the versatility of school teachers and changes in the school form in primary schools. It will also offer symposia, communication workshops and poster exhibitions. The scientific committee, chaired by Marie-Laure Elalouf and Bruno Robbes, is made up of 153 of the best Belgian, Spanish, Swiss, Canadian, Mexican, Brazilian and French specialists in the various fields of research concerned.
