Presence of the Lost by Daniel Mendelsohn in contempory artistic creation.
Venue: Maison Internationale de la Recherche, Neuville-sur-Oise
International conference coordinated by Sylvie Brodziak, UMR HERITAGES.
Daniel Mendelsohn's literary investigation, The Lost (Flammarion) met with great public and critical success when it was published in France in 2007. This work profoundly renews the literary history and family memory writings. It has been red, commented on, or used by others writers, but also by film and documentary directors, historians, psychanalysts …. The indisciplinary symposium that we are organizing wishes to explore the dialogue that many researchers and contemporary artists have with this text, and without thematic, geographical or generic limit.
