France-Latin America: Literature and Humanities (1945-2020)

Venue: La Fondation Singer-Polignac, Paris

International conference, coordinated by Claude Coste, CY HERITAGES

The purpose of these meetings is to analyze the very rich cultural exchanges between France and the countries of Latin
America in the literary field, from the Second World War to the present day. By “literary”, we mean both literature
strictly speaking (from fictional narrative to poetry, via the essay) as well as all of the human sciences, given the strong
correlation between these fields throughout the period studied (between existentialism and deconstruction, passing
through structuralism and the different variables of poststructuralism).
