Workshop 12-13-14-15th of June 2018

The aim of this workshop is to gather 15 experts of the field of desorption energies of species in an astrophysical context. Together, the invited participants will make a round table on this topic, including observational, modeling and experimental aspects. They will review existing works, sort where everybody agree and where there is still debate, and finally propose an article together, that will be submitted to Molecular Astrophysics

We expect that this workshop will result in an overview of all the relevant astronomical questions, and of the experimental and quantum chemical studies that have been done. In addition, we expect the definition of a “wishlist” of studies to be done for those areas where answers are incomplete or contradictory.

The participants will then leave the workshop with a detailed outline. A reduced team of main writters will be chosen among the experts, all being co-authors. Marco Minissale will manage the overall writing, and when all participants will have accepted (or not) the paper, we will send it to Molecular Astrophysics, - Xander Tielens being the Editor. We expect a submission by September 2018.

We will start on Tuesday morning (9H00) and finish on Thursday at 13H00 for the general workshop, and the Friday for the writing team.
