Non-canonical Amino Acids: Tools for Biolological and Biophysical Investigations

Venue: Campus des Cordeliers, Paris

International conference coordinated by  Pierre Milbeo and Gregory Chaume, CY BioCIS (LCB).

After a successful first edition in 2019, bringing together nearly 100 researchers from 11 different nationalities, we aim to organize the second edition of the symposium "Non-Canonical Amino Acids: Tools for Biological and Biophysical Research" in the fall of 2024.
The goal is to bring together internationally renowned researchers in chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, and biology to foster exchanges and discussions on the development of new technologies using non-canonical amino acids and their biological applications. This rapidly expanding multidisciplinary field gathers experts from various backgrounds and unites researchers around a common theme.
Co-organized by four faculty members from CY Cergy Paris University and two from Sorbonne University, this symposium will be held over two half-days on October 14 and 15, 2024, at the Cordeliers campus in Paris. The venue will accommodate 150 participants in excellent conditions. Five invited speakers have confirmed their participation: - Prof. Beate Koksch (Freie Universität Berlin); - Prof. Klara Hlouchova (Charles University in Prague); - Prof. Ben Davis (Oxford University); - Prof. Norbert Sewald (Bielefeld University); - Prof. Jason Chin (Cambridge University). In total, there will be five plenary lectures and about twenty oral presentations open to young researchers in the field. A coffee and buffet area will accommodate poster presentations.
