This two-day workshop will include approximately fourteen classic presentations followed by discussions with invited discussants, as well as presentations from three main speakers. This marks the second edition of the workshop, which took place on November 30th and December 1st, 2023, at the Paris Nanterre University, with an attendance of around 50 to 60 participants. Presentations were given by Professor Lucia Corno (Università Cattolica di Milano), Professor Helmut Rainer (University of Munich and Director of the Labor and Demographic Economics Center at the IFO Institute), and Professor Almudena Sevilla (London School of Economics), who also conducted a course for doctoral students in the final stages of their thesis. For this edition, three researchers are considered for the invitation: Sule Alan (European University Institute), Daniela Del Boca (Università di Torino), and Paul Makdissi (Toronto University). The conference will take place at the Paris Nanterre University on October 14-15, 2024. A call for papers will be launched in early May 2024, and researchers will be informed of the decisions made by the scientific committee regarding the selection of their paper by the end of June 2024. The workshop will feature presentations from three keynote speakers and 14 articles selected by the scientific committee. We will ensure extensive dissemination of the call for papers to also attract participants and attendees among doctoral students, both in France and abroad.
