Research project

I am interested in:

  • Dirac electrons systems and topological materials, twistronics in 2D heterostructures

  • Inhomogenous superconductivity in low dimensional organic conductors and high temperature superconductors (role of disorder and interactions)

I use analytical and numerical approaches.

Haldane model in Twisted bilayer graphene: topological or not topological?
Since de discovery of an intrinsic superconductivity in twisted bilayer graphene (TBLG) rotated at the so-called magic angle (MA), the heterostructure of bilayer two-dimensional (2D) systems continue to be one of the hottest subjects in Condensed Matter Physics. The twisted bilayer heterostructures are considered as an excellent playground to investigate the interplay between correlations, strain, twist angle, disorder, and topology. Recently, an intrinsic quantized anomalous Hall effect (QAHE) was observed in a twisted heterostructure, opening the way a twist tuned topology.
In this project we focus on the QAHE in twisted bilayer graphene to investigate the interplay between the topology and the twist angle. We combine numerical and analytical calculations, based on the continuum model proposed in Ref.
