Research project
Mathematical aspects of entropy
I intend to continue and strengthen a research project already started with Prof. Vojkan Jaksic and his group, at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The project, that we could call "Entropy & Language" intends to continue the mathematical study of the origin and evolution of natural and artificial language, combining a theoretical approach with a strongly data-driven one. I intend to deepen some aspects such as:

study of the mathematical aspects of entropy indicators and entropy production, with numerical implementation applied to large natural and artificial language corpora .

empirical indicators of relative entropy: mathematical aspects and applications to the problem of authorship attribution for literary texts.
Dissemination: I would like to resume and intensify my dissemination activities mainly focused on the impact of modern algorithms and mathematical models for the creation of fakes, be they literary texts, works of art or human identities. It is a topic that is well suited for popular presentations and I have gained some experience that I would like to revitalize.
