Risks, Society and Security

Cyber threats, attacks, analysis of risks, scenes of crime, accident or natural disaster, have recently contributed to placing “security” at the center of global concerns in order to prevent or better understand new threats and risks.

Today, it is necessary to develop new practices to deal with the complexity and the unexpected, taking into account the transversal nature of the approach which involves, on the one hand, bringing together the academic, industrial and judicial worlds. , police officer and on the other hand, by decompartmentalization of the different areas of expertise.

By relying on the territory's key social and economic players (SAGEM-SAFRAN, ATOS, CERBA, Mérieux Nutriscience, Véolia, etc.), the Judicial Pole of the National Gendarmerie (one of the largest European forensic centers and the most large at the national level), the Sociopolitical Observatory of the IEP, the UCP laboratories in law, the laboratories in SHS, the laboratories in economics and management, and the laboratories of experimental sciences of the University of Paris Seine, it becomes possible to develop scientific, fundamental and applied research of the very first level in the field of "security".

Throughout 2017, conferences will address the different facets of this theme.
