Dispersive equations in nature
Dispersion is mechanism where a system decomposes in simpler systems which behave differently and hence become increasingly random over time. It is present in many different physical phenomena, where it is associated to the ``wave/particle'' duality in physics. We will review a few situations where it plays an important role and see how it can be harnessed to prove various results.
