IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT)

The IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT) is the major conference of the IEEE Information Theory Society (ITSoc, https://www.itsoc.org) which is organized yearly around the world. The 2019th release of the ISIT takes place in Paris, at the Maison de la Mutualité, from July 7th to 12th, 2019.

The main goal of our application to this call is to support French and EU PhD students in electrical engineering and computer science, willing to participate at the conference, by covering a part of their registration fees and travel expenses. The travel support from the PhD-ISIT project is given to students from European institutions who do not have sufficient funding to come to IEEE ISIT 2019 otherwise. Priority is given to students enrolled in a French PhD program or in collaboration with French institutions. The selection criteria is therefore: a) student’s location (France and Europe); b) evidence of a low funding status; c) his/her scientific excellence.
