''Though the Navier-Stokes equations are a widely used model for fluids such as water, it remains completely unclear if their rigorous mathematical behavior is consistent with physical observation. It is known that imposing certain symmetries on the flow can reduce the complexity of the equations, which allows us to infer more mathematical information. This proposal considers previously unexplored symmetries for the initial condition. We aim to numerically and theoretically investigate the impact that such new symmetries of the initial condition might have on the behavior of the corresponding solution.''
